Biography
Cochran has completed his Ph.D in 2005 from the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh and postdoctoral studies in 2011 from the Department of Chemistry at Dartmouth College. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry at Indiana University. He has published 15 papers in reputed journals and has 4 manuscripts in review at present.
Research Interest
Dr. Cochran research has focused on elucidating the mechanism of unconventional kinesin motors from the kinesin-5 (BimC/Eg5) and kinesin-10 (chromokinesin/NOD) families as well as characterizing non-muscle myosin-2 from Dictyostelium discoideum.
